HOW IT WORKS
The Mayor delegates
Type to the Mayor. It plans, hands errands to the neighbour who fits best at the lowest cost, collects their answers and replies to you.
You can see everything
Robots walk the lanes while they work, ribbons of light run between cottages when agents talk, and every call shows its tokens and its price.
A purse that runs dry
Set a daily budget. When it's spent, every agent sits down until midnight, or until you raise it. No surprise bills.
Small, private memories
Each agent keeps its own notes and history. They share only what they need, through a library on the village notice board.
Sandboxed by default
Agents run commands in a locked-down workspace. Anything that reaches further becomes a petition you approve or deny.
Your models, your plan
Use your Claude plan through Claude Code, your own Anthropic or OpenAI key, or free local models with Ollama. Mix them per agent.
YOUR PHONE
Hollow keeps running on your Mac. Your iPhone becomes a window onto it: talk to the Mayor from anywhere, and get a notification when an agent has a question, objects, hits a fault, or wants to go beyond its sandbox. Approve the risky ones with Face ID.
- Install Hollow on your Mac and enter your invite code: the Mac gets its own private address.
- Pair your iPhone with a one-time code shown on the Mac.
- Turn on notifications. Petitions arrive the moment something needs you.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
It lives on your Mac
Conversations, notes, the library and your API keys stay on your computer. There's no Hollow account and no analytics.
Only what's needed leaves
Prompts go to the AI provider you chose. The Hollow service only gives your Mac its phone address and passes notifications on to Apple.
Phones pair, one by one
Each phone gets its own key that you can revoke from the Mac. Approving anything risky from a phone needs Face ID.

Does it cost anything?
Hollow is free during the beta. Your agents use the AI you choose: your Claude plan, your own Anthropic or OpenAI key (the provider bills you), or free local models with Ollama. The daily budget you set stops everyone when it's spent.
Which AI models does it work with?
Claude through your Claude plan (via Claude Code) or an Anthropic key, any OpenAI-compatible service, and local models through Ollama. Each agent can use a different one.
Where does my data go?
It stays on your Mac. Prompts go only to the AI provider you picked for that agent. The Hollow service gives your Mac its phone address and passes notifications to Apple, nothing more. The privacy policy has the details.
Do I need an iPhone?
No. Hollow on the Mac is complete on its own. The iPhone app is for talking to your agents and answering petitions when you're away from your desk.
Which Mac do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon, running macOS 13 or later.
